The brief of this project was to redesign the corporate logo of Edinburgh Waterfront (for more info: http://www.waterfront-ed.com/ ), one of the companies leding the redevelopment of the Granton area in Edinburgh.
My entry into the contest:
Font used: Franklin Gothic Demi Condensed
The idea behind the logo was to create something that is inviting while at the same time spaceous and open to replace the rather corporate and stuffy old logo. Three simple coloured shapes are used to give an instantly recognisable image of a pure clean natural scenery. A open round font was used with plenty of space in between to reflect spaceousness and air. The name was kept grey to reflect the corporate nature of the project.
Although my entry was not chosen as the winner, i am still content with it and it was a useful exercise
